i wouldnt drill it out all you have to do is remove the rods and slip the actuator out of its holding brackets. you could even use the old bracket with a new actuator. thats up to you if you want to re rivet and all that mess...

the rivot is on the side on the door that would be facing the rear of the car when the door is shut... the rivot is a special ford rivot, its oversized and looks like a big washer, you HAVE to drill that out to remove a frozen actuator, because the new actuator has set screws/pins in it for the new links and its impossible to set those with the actuator in the door. Then go to a ford parts store and get a new rivot for a few bucks, the kit i had came with a bunch of different links be sure to replace with the same link and put the actuator in the proper posistion so that when u lock it locks and unlock it unlocks.
I believe the holding bracket is facing up so you cant push down on it... i think, not positive.
Drexl sounds like someone forced the door lock and that bent the link, 5.0 resto has a kit for forty bucks and the rivot is $2.
