rebuild gone bad!!!!!!! look this sucks
i just rebuilt this engine 3 months ago well this isnt my falt at all the machine shop that i took my block and heads to presed on my pistons for me all i had to do is put them in the hole well my wrist pin come out ive only got about 1000 miles on this engine so do any of you think that the machine shop will warranty this sence thay r&r the pistons ? this sucks ive got about 1584.00 in the short block now it is a boat anchor what it looks like is that thay didnt press the pist in the middle so it walked out the pin what do you fellas think please reply thanx!

By the way, sorry about your troubles. Your situation may fall under a grey area as far as who is responsible. I think that if they put the pistons onto the rods, they are responsible. If you did, then you are. And I'm not psychic, but I bet it'd be real hard to get them to cough up any money either way. Just my opinion. Good luck.

so the pin holding the connecting rod to the piston came out and rubbed the hell out of the wall????? maybe they didnt put that littlekeeper inside the pin to hold it in place in?

what kind of pin?...man that does suck......I would not even take it apart I would haul it down there and make them pay something..just a note next time when you have the block done make sure they write block id number on your ticket
