Removing bottom of dash Dside

To remove the bottom part of the dash on the drivers side do i need to remove the bottom section of the steering column?

YOu hav eto remove hte column cover (2 screws then snaps apart). THey there is 3 bolts on the bottom (8 mm) then you have to pull it down from the top then striaght out to cleanr the hood release. I fyou have ot remove the black metal peice then its just 2 8mm bolts. (can you tell Ive done this a lot?)
