I have a strange sound comin from behind my guages. and only happens when the car is moving and gradually gets louder the faster i go, a spinning sound. it only happens when the car is driven for a bit ie is very warm. my dad suggested the cable.

is that possible?

its probably a loose belt

i cant see the speedo causing any noise.. mine bounces like a 4 year old high on coke and dosnt make any sound

possible but it wouldnt make a loud noise it kinda rattles.... a sqeak maybe your serp belt

Its definately not my belt.

the sound of it goes hand and hand with the tires in motion. and sloooooows down as i do. as i drive and can hear it i can rev the engine and the sound does not change.
and its not comin from the wheels.
its weird.

I got the same problem! I affraid to move anything cause I don't want to mess up my Speedometer. It's works fine it's just annoying especially when the music is down and it's quiet all you can here is that raddle sound. The flows help cover the sound but I can still here it. My cousin said it's just the cable/wire/belt not sure of the name that needs to be replaced.

I think i have to claim the same thing on my 90GT... it also makes a sound relative to the speed. Can't exactly explain it either, maybe like a light quack sound over and over.

ya well next time it starts up im gonna disconnect it and see wtf. its really loud and annoying

I haven't heard it for a while since I don't get to drive it. Loaned it to my brother, then again it reminds me of a scraping sounds almost a tick, but not a ping...
