Default header gasket

anybody ever used percy header gaskets before cause i have been reading about them. they aluminum ones for 34.00 and carbon ones for 14.00 the carbon ones say they can withstand up to 2000 degrees but the aluminum dont have any temp range. can aluminum melt before 2000 degrees. i have tried the expensive felpro ones they didnt last, copper ones from summit they only lasted until i changed my headers

hate to break the news to you but gaskets are only supposed to be used once, when they are compressed they form the seal and when the compression is removed they cannot expand again and magically recompress... its a one time deal .... regardless of gasket material and what ever the gasket is for ... intake, heads, headers, rear main, rear diff.... doesn't matter when you remove the original seal you have to use a new gasket.

I have always used High Heat Copper silicone on my header flanges. Works perfect.
