Default Roller Rocker questions

I have a 95 mustang gt. My friend pretty much gave me a new set of gt-40 heads minus rockers and pushrods. I believe that the rockers in my car are 1.6... Could I put 1.7's on the GT-40 heads and just bolt them on or do I need to get new pushrods?

i recommend hardend pushrods but you can use the stock ones. you'll have to cut out that metal plate in your valve covers

Thats prob. another topic, but I bought some Chrome ones of of ebay a while back. They are CRAP! but they didnt have a guard like you're talking about. Im gonna buy some better ones before I put the heads on. Will 95 cobra valve covers work with out any mods? You have been a lot of help. -Thanks Buford

honestly they should have something that might need to grind off. I know 1.6's fit fine. but i heard the the 1.7 hit something on the inside. (no big deal though, easy fix)

If you bought the Chromoly ones those are really good pushrods. or are they actually chrome?

Sorry, I was talking about some cheap Overseas made chrome valve covers that I bought on ebay. They just dont seal good. They are paper thin.
