Default MILES

I know we all like a mustang with low miles, but the 5.0 is known for being almost bullet proof. So who on here has the most miles on it and still running strong or if anyone notices power loss. I have 166,200 miles and she still runs strong for me.

Thats so beat. I just past 90k and I'm starting to burn oil. Thats mint if you have such high miles and the motor is still sound.

im at 156,000

dosnt burn a drop of oil and dosnt smoke at all

the problem buying low mileage stangs is they arent ran so they sit and the gaskets/seals corrode so they tend to smoke/burn before they even hit 100k

the guy I bought it from said he only put like 900 miles a year on the car. I've put over 3k in like 2 months. Only when I get on it it burns some oil, but it is noticable and expensive I always have to put oil in it.

Agreed lookingforstang. These cars (in general) need to be driven often to keep it all in good shape. I bought mine with 109,000 on it. Thank god for my crappy AOD_EE becuase I think it saved the car! It went out before the Yahoo that had it could finish tearing it up.so the motor ROCKS! but i had to replace the crap AOD_E

since then I have been running full synthetic with additive and my oil pressure is going up...

I dont know what is on ours but carfax says its been rolld over 2 times and Its currently setting at ~187,000. For all I know that thing could have nearly 500,000 miles on it haha. OH well it still runs strong just smokes a little (fixing that this winter).

That 302 is a rock........most people don't even consider rebuilding until 170 or so..........and you know how most people drive 5.0s!!!
