Rough Idle Issue

The car has a very rough idle to the point where it almost wants to stall out for the first few minutes that it is running, then it is fine. It is a 1990 5.0 and has a camshaft in it. From what I have been told the camshaft is causing the computer to crazy and so it idles poorly. What will solve my problem? Is this my problem? COMPUTER CHIP SOLVE?

only get a chip if your car is running fine....and only when you done building to finalize the engine tune.... check the iac ...

yeah what bmorrisj said check iac, also timing and tp sensor.... might have something bad with pcm too
