it not the top end so much as the low end what compression you have how many miles .does it use oil?

after you get it installed, or before........

do a compression check, tool cost $20 at parts store
takes about 1 hour to do. will tell you if you're rings or valves are leaking
or worn.

no leaks....... supercharge her up.
