Default first thing first...

1.What modification would you do first if you had a $1000 to spend on a 90' mustang GT. I was thinking of doing headers, x-pipe with cats and flowmasters. then short shifter, cold air intake and underdrive pullies. thats roughtly around $650-700, the I would do trick flow street upper and lower intake to finish it off. I want to do easy to moderate mods that i can do myself.let me know if there are other better mod that i should do for under a !1000
2.Should i do headers and pipes, will it make a big difference, there pretty expensive and i dont want to spend a lot of money if its not that good of a performer. OR should i just put on flowmasters just the muffler and leave stock header and pipes.

you should start at your bottom end first, take the whole block done clean it up you could even go with a stroker. Then the next time you get money invest in heads, intake and exhaust.

I don't think thats the route hes going for kid.

If I had 1k to spend on a stock 5.0, it would be headers, midpipe, and catback. Then 3.73 gears and a camshaft. Thats under 1k as long as you don't have to pay an installer

Im a believer of starting with a good foundation. Complete exhaust, cai, tb, pulleys, suspension. Then later on opening up the engine and putting some gears in too kick ***.

Yea, and screw installs, if you pay to have everything installed you'll spend so much more money. Remember, if you don't do the work it's not really yours[8D]

Well if i had 1k i would do traction first . Upper and lower control arms. Some nittos 70/30 struts and rear 50/50 shocks. Then maybe some pullies a Cowl hood and trunk and if any left over a aluminum driveshaft. Reason being is if you have 200 to the rear wheel and can hook up your car well be quicker. And when you add heads ,headers, exhaust and new intake with cam you can put the power to the ground. Fox body stangs dont hook up up worth beans so even stock HP the stang haves a hard time grabing. But thats just me. Good luck in ur decission.
