Default Hopeful to get a 93' GT!!!

I currently have a stock 99' v6 5 speed but Im looking to sell it for a 93' GT. After riding in my buddies Trans Am and hearing that muscle car sound and feel im getting hooked. Is there any thing I should specifically be looking out for when looking?

P.S.
The one I have my eye on is a 93' GT with 81k miles, green/grey and bone stock (I prefer this, so I can do all the modding)

Sounds like my car! I just picked mine up a little over a month ago. Its a 93 GT w/ 84K AOD and was 100% BONE STOCK down to the air silencer.

Things to look for, definet check for rust.... EVERYWHERE. Lift up the hatch carpet and check under there cause that is a common place for rust to show up. Just check to see if sh*t is original and that it hasnt been abused but if its bone stock than I doubt that it was... thats the good part about bone stock cars. Also, I would recommend to check the toque boxes is its a manual. If its a bone stock automatic than they will be fine.

Check for leaks, etc. smoke comming out the exhaust, knocking... all the basic stuff. Just dont get too happy and force your self on it... there are plenty out there. Try not to jump on the first one because you think its a good deal.

Thats not that bad but I would try to drop him to 5K. Thats what I got mine for and I think I could of gotten it a little cheaper too. But mine was in EXCELLENT condition except for the front bumper fading a little.

Well Im going off to college this fall and Im starting to think maybe I shouldnt be selling my good running v6 for a GT but then I start to think I just need to make sure the car is in awesome condition and running well then Ill feel better about it.

Also to run a car fax it cost money right?

carfax costs money yes. ask him to provide it for u or just ask someone here (thats what i did).

also, the 5.0 should get equal gas mileage compared to ur v6. it's only 1.2liters more of engine (1.1 to be precise) and is well capable of over 25mpg on the highway.

personaly ive gotten over 20mpg in the city with a baby foot haha
