I dont understand how come when i talk with people around town everyone thinks mustangs are slow?? And there cars are way faster. (passats, jettas, camaros, firebirds RICERS ect..) U actually have to woop there A$$ before they even get an itch, and then all the Axcusis come pouring out. I just dont get how they get a bad wrap!! people are such morons

LOL Most of the people where I live think that only fat, redneck, toothless people drive Mustangs. I have a lot of canyons where I live, (Canyon Country, CA), I get people behind me all of the time in there Honda Civic HBs, or Integras, and 240sxs riding my a$$ thinking the are road course kings, but nothing is better when I grab second and watch them get smaller adn smaller in my rearview. I even had one guy ask me if I was spraying cause I pulled away so fast.... People think that an intake and muffler makes them a true racer, living thier lives a quater mile at a time or some crap like that LOL

To be fair, stock Mustangs ARE kinda slow...but certainly not when compared to the riced out imports out there.

ya compared to new cars like even the new hond accord (v6) thats pushen 240hp i think but 0-60 is a little slower then the 5oh. but its not that ists just commen everyday drivers like i said camaro RICERS passats. The stock stang can kill those. i did it plenty of times (friends thought there cars where the sh**) i just dont know where they get get off thinking this.

i even had a guy in a pickup with a 5.4 (stock) tell me he would kill me off the line but down the road i would win. what the hell down road?? lol maybe i will be down the road!!

Eh, mustangs ARE pretty much the slowest domestic sports cars in recent production. LS1 cars are faster than even the 06 GT's,GTO's eat them up, EVO 9's kill them, STI's are a STRONG match, the new Challenger will own them, the Charger RT is a bit slower, but the SRT8 takes them out, the GT500 shelby is slower than a base C6, the S2000 will pull a 99-04 from a roll, stock for stock, the 350Z is beating 05's from a roll (barely) in some cases, all in all the only things that a mustang is faster than are 4,000# 4-door chargers and stuff like the Saturn Ion Redline and the 05 GT's beat the SRT4's, the rest of the stuff that is out there that is slower isnt even sports car related hardly (Passats, etc.) . Hell, GM's Trainblazer SS is in the same league as a stock 05-07 GT. I hate to rain on the parade but mustangs are not popular for being fast or handling well, they are popular for being EASILY AND CHEAPLY MODIFIED TO ACHIEVE BETTER/GOOD PERFORMANCE! End of story.

the new shelby gt500 is runnin 500hp and 480 lbs of torque last time i checked the gto is runnun 400 across the boards And as teh 350z and the 05 it is close but the gt is a little on top ( 350z= 300hp and 270 torque redlined 0-60=5.4) (05 mustang 300 hp and 320 lbs torque 0-60= 5.1) i will get more time and look the rest up and as for the trailblazer what wouldent be fast with a vette engine!! its runnen 0-60 in 5.7 sec

why do you all let it get under your skin? i drive arond with my head held high man. i own a stang and i drive my stang, i know how it runs, and i know its not the fastest thing on the street ither. let them talk there **** and when they pull up next to you chances are they dont even try. they are so full of bs.
