Default Auto to Manual tranny help.

I have a 1995 GT. Im starting to have problems with the AODE. Im pretty sure my TC lockup soleniod or the TC itself is on its last leg. I could pull the tranny and fix this but Im looking to swap in a manual. I'll have some experience doing a swap like this since Im about to swap a T56 6 speed into my camaro.

Anyways heres my question. Will a 5 speed, clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, flywheel, clutch pedal, slave cyclinder ect. from a 86-up fox body work for this swap?

I believe it might. See if you cant look into previous issues of MMFF, they did this with Evan Smith's project SN95 mustang about a year and a half ago?

I have heard the bellhousing pattern is different. I dont know tho. Im a chevy man. SBC is SBC all trannys will bolt up. Hell the 700r4 in my camaro now will bolt to anything from a 265-400 small block + big blocks.

Im not sure about the mustangs tho. If it works I will probably just buy a POS fox for parts.

All 302's and 351w and 351c use the same bolt pattern, all the older fox cars have cable operated clutches not hydraulic.don't know if the rest will fit, what's wrong with the AODE?

I DID A AUTO TO 5SPD SWAP IN MY 94 AND I HAD TO HAVE THE BELLHOUSING AND TRANNY FROM THAT YEAR OR IT HAD TO BE A 95. IT ALSO HAS A DIFFERENT CLUTCH FORK. THE PEDALS WILL NOT WORK EITHER, IF YOU CALL MUSTANG PARTS SPECALITIES THEY WILL BE ABLE TO HELP YOU IN FINDING THE RIGHT ITEMS TO GO GEAR BANGING.

The clutch disc, pressure plate throw out bearing will all work. The blocks for the 86-95 5.0s all use the same mounting points and will mount up fine. The clutch pedal, cable, and release fork will have to be used from one of the sn-95 body stlye cars. As far as the flywheel goes, as long as the one you got is a 157 tooth, 50 oz. flywheel it wheel go on any of those years.
