dude you sould DEFINALY spring for the 4.10s. i hve 3.73 nad i still wana upgrade to the 4.10s but at this point its not cost effective

No, not yet. Personally unless you have a 5-speed (I know you have auto, so +1 for the 4.10's) I would not go over 3.73 unless you are cammed and need to make that rpm FAST! If I had less cam I would have gone 3.73 or so. As it is, my 3500rpm peak tq and 6200rpm peak hp cam specs demand rpm FAST!

If you have a stick w/ 4.10's first gear is pretty much useless!!! JMO though!!

I prefer 3.73s with a stick.... but as you get higher up in the HP tree... you may find it better to come down a bit in the gears... but for an otherwise stock-ish car... 3.73-4.10 is the way to go

My tech punched my car the other day, first gear layed 20' of rubber and just hazed the tires horridly (TKO500 with 3.27 first and 4.10's and I shift at 6K) 2nd gear burned for about 150ish feet before we had to hit 3rd. Yes, 1st is useless almost, but I like it

What gears would you guys recommend for a 5 speed? How much of a difference would the suggested gears make? What rear ratio does a stock 5 speed have?
