Default New to Mustangs

Hey guys, Im new to mustangs but im thinking of getting rid of my t/a and getting a foxbody. I was just wondering what year is the best year as in reliability, performance, and all around easiest to modify. Like i have a 93 lt1 trans am and they are so much more of a pain than the 96-97 t/as. All the help will be appreciated.

Default RE: New to Mustangs

The 89-92 is probaly the best. The 89 has everything that people want (mass air, no airbag, tilt steering, forged pistons) The 90-92 have forged pistons also but they dont have tilt steering and they have an airbag. The 87 and 88 have a speed density system (not as efficient as mass air). The 93 had hypereutectic pistons. There is nothing wrong with them but you have to be careful with a power adder. It has the same things as the 90-92. I dont know much about the 4-eyed foxes though.
