A 750 DP would be plenty on that setup. And the RPM of that intake is 3500-8500. But most definitly, your choke point is the cam IMO, you need one hell of a monster to be able to rev it to 8500. Itll have to idle at 1200-1500 . You should have at least a .600 lift with 290ish duration, depending on comp ratio, etc.

well i've still got my old 650 4160 style Holley carb, so I can go back down to that.
and The cam I have is one I ordered before i installed the new rotating assembly, so I ordered it hoping it would work with the stock pistons and the heads. I can order a new cam, the money's not a problem. The reason i was looking at the victor Jr. was that I have HUGE intake ports on those Windsor's, and they flow reasonably well. I KNOW that the performer intake manifold is the bottleneck 2 kwik that's the whole reason for this thread......
well what cam should i go with to take advantage of a victor? and don't tell me an alphabet cam would be the way to go. I'll order a new 2800 stall converter, a couple guys from Lugos performance told me that'd be a good one to go with.
and as far as the Nitrous, I'm NOT running the gas just yet. I'll get her on a dyno first and get it tuned well.
And i'm not getting a victor because it looks mean, i'm getting it for it's flow characteristics at high rpms. remember it's all forged and balanced, so no problems with high rpms, and i already have the valvetrain set for some sky high stuff. As far as the block goes, that's one part i'm partially worried about.
Yeah i'm a noob when it comes to v8's,
but i've also got a 1985 toyota supra with the 2.7L 3RZFE engine out of a 2004 tacoma.
The engine has been completely cryotreated and upgraded with forged internals, has independent throttle bodies and 8 fuel injectors, a 300 wet shot, and can rev to 9800 rpm.
the car (full weight) has run an 11.1 with fulda tires and the stock IRS.
So don't think of me as a complete retard
Yeah i was going off of what the mechanics at the machine shop said, but I do trust their machine work.
Thanks for the input guys.
