Default My New Ride

This is a 1985 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 with T-Tops. The car started like with and AOD automatic and throttle body injuection. But when the motor was rebuilt the T-body was tossed for a 600cfm 4bbl carb. The motor was bored to 306 with ported and possible heads off a 92 GT. 3 angle valve job was also done. AOD was tossed for a C4 3 speed.

Ya she does. Drive train is good but body needs a few things plus paint but that is why i got it. I have a 9 year old and a 6 year old that love mustangs as much as i do so i am going to start teaching them how to work on cars and i figured this was a good plattform to do that.

i still prefer a 3 speed to a overdrive, hell my 95 ford has a c6 3 speed in it. sucks on the freeway with 3.55's (3400 rpm or so)

Ya for strength the 3 speeds are so much better than the AOD but it does suck gas. i have 3.27 grears right now but when the rear end gets rebuilt i am going to install 3.55's
