Make sure you'll have enough clearance w/ the heads you select...the E cam and 1.7's will put you at ~.529 lift on both sides. The 165's or TW's should clear that (AFR's will be close, though). GT40's (3 bars) should clear it also and will be cheaper.

Budget route:
GT40's (after market valve spring kit).....$250-400
Used street heat intake..........................$250-300
E cam (you already have)
Used 1.7 roller rockers..........................$100-125
75-76mm MAF......................................$100
TOTAL............................................. .....$700-800=275rwhp+, depending on your other mods

I would probably list the cam on ebay and buy another one, something dual pattern.

well i would list it on ebay .. prob. is that i'm kinda' curious to see what the E cam will do and toy with it ... LOL ... i dunno' we'll see. but thanks for everyones advise. i think if i keep it, i'll prob. just use the GT40 stuff for a 'budget' minded setup with the traditional bolt ons.

quick question though, what you all think i should do for air and fuel? larger pump, injectors, MAF, etc?

your not going to go anywhere withought a gear tho... i say get the gear first. and just wait to put the cam in untill you can afford to get some heads and intake. that way your not tearing your motor down more than once. it would make more sense to get all your engine parts and put them all on at once. putting a gear in will give you a good bit of performance and quickness. i say since you havea 5-sd go ahead and get a 4.10
