i have a 89 5.0 lx and with the headers, and h-pipe, the air pump is not used anymore. and the previous owner of my car removed the ac lines with what looks like a hammer. so my question is is there a way to run the belt without turning these accessories, or just get the smog pump eliminator, and get a belt for a non-ac car? it's a convertible so no ac is not a big deal..

get a peice of string and use it as a mock serp belt.

yeah i tried that, but i cant figure out how to route it. anyone else try this?

i have to wait for my engine to come in before i can do the exact same thing on my car. so uh...when you find out, let me know what you got for your number so i can check that against mine.

I bought an ac delete kit from cjponyparts.com...ford racing part number M8511A50.I removed my smog pump completely and used a belt from summitt racing part number GTR-4060735.It was a pretty easy install and the car runs great.I'm not sure what length the belt is,but it only takes a couple days to get one from summit.Hope this helps some.

i'm also removing the air pump and I have no ac so i'll be looking for a belt. Found alot of info on google but no part numbers yet.
