Default Does this sound like heat soak?

To start my car, it takes probably not even .1 of a second to fire up. But when the engines up to operating tempurature for a while and you shut it down, then need to start it a again, it seems like the starter turns noticeably slower, even my friend noticed it. It has aftermarket shorty header and an off road H-pipe. Last time I checked, the timing is set at 13 degrees. I have no clue when the last time the starter was replaced. I'd like to put in a high torque gear reducing one in anyway. Kind of like the starter that's in my 93 Bronco. It's smaller and has that cool higher pitched whine to it. The start on my car just sounds like an old Crown Vic's one.

Yeah that's what I thought. Well, knowing me, I won't replace it until I have to. It's a good thing it's manual

I read a article in 5.0 mustang and SF about a guy who's car wouldn't turn on after it warmed up and needed to wait till it cooled down, they told him to check the battery cables because they could be corode inside. Just a suggestion to check I don't know anything else about electrical. Good luck with it.

Well, even though I do live in Wisconsin, my cars from NC and has never seen winters, but at night with all accessories on, there isn't a problem, and the wires look good. Battery is new too.
