Default Trans Fluid in a 5 Speed

How do i go about adding trans fluid to my manual trans?

on the passenger side of the car there are 2 plugs that a 3/8 ratchet will fit into. The top one is the fill, the bottom is the drain. leave the bottom in, take out the top one and add fluid until it starts comming out of the top hole(where you are filling it)

try to make sure the car is level

you can also add in the top of the trans if the shifter is out , but either have to remove the top plug , or if you've drained it completely, pour 2 3/4 qts

BTW, you'll want to use Mercon III ATF if it's a T5.

lol just get a short shifter (great time to get it!!!!), and pour it through the top of the shifter hole. that's the easiest way, cuz the other way involves thin hoses and gravity feeding it into the check hole in the passanger sided of your trans.

you can get those pump heads that fit right on top of the ATF quart jug, makes it pretty easy
