i have to agree with the post above mine, buy 'em stock. too many ppl dump money into them, beat them to hell and just sell them for what they put into them.

5 grand for a 5.0 with over 130k in my book is way over the spending limit

Sure is, got my 90GT for $4000, and my 87LX Notch (5.0 of course) for $2800. The GT ran me a lot of money, where I have maybe invested $400 into the notch so far.

That's why I think it was a deal. I paid 400 more then you and got one with 10,000 more miles that already had the mods I would do if I bought it stock. The cheapest 5.0 I could find was a completely stock 88 GT for 4200. I wanted an LX, and atleast a 91. If I would of looked harder I probably could have found a stock one for around 4,000-4,500 but I would have gone past the 5k mark for the mods that this one already has on it.

I paid $2900 for mine with 103k miles on it. I then sunk over $2500 into it in just repairs and maintenance...oh and 3.55 gears. 5k for a car that needs nothing is not bad. The mileage is a bit high though. Either way, the car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Good find. Nice car too.
