Default Rebuild kits and a new block

I was looking at Summit's rebuild kit w/ forged pistons and was wodering if i was to buy that kit and put it on a new block would i need any other components that the kit would not include or that I could not salvage from my original engine? I am either looking into buying a complete "stock" new engine or going with a new block and forged internals. Any thoughts on what might be the best way to go with this. So many options to choose from... [:@]
