85 Mustang GT/Just hearing some opinions
I have a 85 Mustang GT, with a 88' 302. 351w Ported heads, Offenhausen dual plane intake, Hooker super competition equal lenght shorties, crane custom cam (dont know exact specs), brand new t5 and king cobra clutch, 3.73 gears w/ trac lock, 600cfm double pumper holley, with electric choke. The interior is stripped so the car is sitting at 2950 lbs right now with a full tank of gas. I havent got to run it down the track yet, for the fact the motor was just put in and were getting the break in period over with. I would like to hear some opinons on this setup and what kind of hp/tq ill see+ what kind of track times and trap speed. I know it is asking alot, because the easiest way to find out what your car will run, is to run it. Just wondering what you guys think of the setup and what kinda power i should have.
The car before the engine swap ran a 14.9 at 93. 160,000 miles on the 5 ltr with the hooker heads and the 3.73 gears and full interior. Thanks guys, btw... this is my first post, so dont flame me too bad, alright?

Im going to assume that your car is not meant for daily use. First thing is I would get rid of that intake, get a medium rise single plane. Whats the rest of your exhaust? (diameter?, mufflers?) Is your idle lopey? or is it pretty smooth? But Im going to give it a guess and say youll be well into the 13's (depending on cam). Your carb looks to be a little small too, a 650double pumper would be a littel better.

Well the cam is real lopey, and doesnt seem to make any real power until 2000 rpm. Will the single plane help out my low rpm power? The mufflers are flowmaster hush powers. Same in and out's as a 40 series muffler. Offroad h pipe back to flowmasters. I had the specs on the cam, and misplaced them.
