Default Oil Light

I just wanted to know about my oil light. I have a 1987 5.0 LX with about 180,000 kms on it...when i rev the car to about 4500 rpm, my check oil light flashes on until the rpms drop below 4000, but my oil was just filled up...does anyone know why this would be?

Might be low pressure. What's your oil pressure guage say?

It says the pressure is right in the middle, maybe a couple degrees lower than the middle...

has to be low oil or low pressure, might replace the oil sender if you think these two are fine

I'm not certain but I think that my guage is about half way at 2000 rpm but at 4500 rpm it's quite a bit higher. I'd have your oil pressure checked to see if you need a new pump.
