Default trans mount

Hi Guys and gals,
Haven't been in here for awhile.I've been working on a v8 swap into a 4 cyl lx.My daughter had an 88 gt and wrecked the front end,I found an 89 4 cyl lx for 200 bucks with a cracked head. The gt was a 5 speed and the lx was an auto.I swapped everything into the lx from the gt,engine, trans, pedals, rearend, all the wiring, brake booster, master cyl,and all the interior parts.I'm almost done but have run into a problem.I bought an aftermarket trans mount(old one broken),when I installed the mount and crossmember the trans is pushed all the way up into the tunnel against the bottom of the car.I can't even get the shifter on.I know this can't be right,I took the mount back to the store they looked it up again, the same mount.I tried another part store they came up with the same mount also.It is impossible to have used the automatic crossmember,it only has 1 slot for the mount stud, the 5 speed has 2 slots,so I know I didn't screw that up,It can't go on backwards near as I can tell.I'm stumped, have You run into this? Thanks,
jim

Some people on here have done that swap and the tranny sits very far to the right. I guess the only way to make it perfectly stright would be to redrill holes in the tranny crossmember if the motor mounts will allow it.

Mine was an auto to T5 swap before I got it and I had to bend up the front of the hole that's cut out for the shifter b/c it was about 3/4" under it. I use the double hump crossmember and it's centered almost perfectly.

I don't think there is a physical size difference in the WC T5 and 4 banger T5, but maybe the bells are different?
