Default Posi no longer works

Ok, I know I have a posi. It's worked before. Weird thing is, it works at random times. I finally found out I could get it to really work when I power-braked it. Both wheels would spin and leave rubber on the pavement. but now, nothin. Only one wheel. WTF happened? and what do I need to do to fix it? this crap bites me in the butt. So much crap needs fixin on this car...

well it depends on the mechanic..some people say that a mechanic wont charge much more when doing the gear install

and others have said the mechanic wanted to charge $100+ more for the install

but the rebuild kit is $40 itself
