Default best shifter light

i know there has been a lot of talk about shifter lights but i want to make sure i get the right 1 , has any 1 used one of the brands off E B A Y , what about the Proform Adjustable RPM Shift Light , is it any good ? how hard is it to hook up

geez no offense to anyone on here but cant you drive without a tach? you dont need a shiftlight!!!! the car tells you when to shift!

factory tachs are off by a few hundred rpms in case you didnt know!!... I run an autometer monster tach

Nah, but your best bet is Autometer, they're about the best money can buy.

primetime i dont even look at the tach(thats what i was tryin to say :-D) They look kinda neat but i dunno i dont bother lookin at anything except speed gas and how many miles it has on it.(thats when im driving when im not im lookin at the whole car inside and out!)

also help u from over reving un less u want to keep ur eye on the tach and not the road! i dont want a tach , just the light , how hard is the Proform Adjustable RPM Shift Light to hook up???

I run an Autometer 6" Cobalt tach...with a...*gasp* shiftlight...

302 rev very quickly and if you dont pay attention...your going to bounce it off the rev limiter. I set mine up to flash about 500rpm before i actually want to shift.

But after driving along time you get the feel of your car and can really predict when its going to do something, so you can time your shifts. But remember, spinning tires = rpms jumping quicker.

Well I'll let you know how the Raptor shift light works out, I'll have it here this week sometime. It gets the tach feed from the dizzy so you wouldnt be reliant on the factory tach anyways. Im going to hide it in the A/C vent so its clean and out of my way no clutering things up. I just couldnt bring myself to throw in a big'ol tach, something with me about having 2 tachs in my car...nothing against it though.
