ORIGINAL: mikey5.0

A maxima is the 5.0 killer now and days i guess[&:] I have a auto although my cars modded the tranny has a stock conv and, i take care of these family wanna be sports sadans easy sometimes letting them take of first and run em down. Yes! you neeed gears 2:73s will get you beat by alot of avg cars i know been there down that . I know my c4 is diff the the aod but never let an auto tranny shift on it own.
What if you set it at the shift points that you want??? Mine shifts (on it's own) at 5000 rpms, plenty enough and I don't have to do anything (not that I can really do anything anyways besides hold 1st)

oh ill do that but i probably wont be takin it out to do that again till i get my gears and shift kit put in. Then i should beat him bad. Because i have some lag inbetween shifts and i dont like it and i dont have the jump i should and thats because i have 2.73s so im gettin 3.73s in 2 weeks so i will be happy and i think ill get him by 2 lengths or more

Get 4.10s if you have an AOD.

Maximas are fast car when you consider the class they compete in. The newer ones with the 3.5 are pushing around 265 hp, thats nothing to sneeze at really.
