yeah but you guys have to see it from my point of view. in my three speed auto with stock gears in my 69 I'm at 3000rpm's at 70mph.

so 2800rpm's at 80mph in a 5spd for a late model is ok for me.

There is a difference in a trac-loc rebuilt kit and a installation kit.

Every shop that I called highly recommended a installation kit.

The $100 dollars Ford Racing one is what you want to get. It comes with the axle seals, bearings, etc. which you should really change.

You lost me.... so you are saying that 4.10's for a 5spd is OK?

Yea but dont forget that they charge you alot of money to install the trac-lok kit.

One shop that I called wanted an extra $200 dollars to do just the trac-lok kit.

LoL Ohhhhhh OK. I agree 100%. Lots of poeple think that 4.10's in a 5spd are riduclous but I have been in a few of them and I like them alot.

4.10's for a NA auto are minimum in my opinion..... unless you are doing tons and tons of highway driving.

If you plan on keeping it NA than I would... if not 3.90's or 3.73's are the absolute lowest I would go.
