Default clutch

hey all, im new here, for information on my girlfriend's new mustang she bought. its a 94 Cobra, with a 5.0 and a 5 speed. the only modifications are underdrive pulleys, K&N filter, and a B&M shifter. The car itself only has about 60K.

Anyways, the clutch is going, i am needing information on this. (i am usually only GM, but have nothing against mustangs)

is the tranny a T5?
when removing, does the tranny come seperate the bellhousing?
and the clutch fork stays with the bellhousing?

and what clutch do you guys reccomend, as of now, im going SPEC stage 1.
any other questions ill let you know.

Default RE: clutch

Yes. Trans is T5. You can separate the bellhousing from the trans and the fork actually stays on the output shaft inside the bellhousing. It is a good idea to replace it because the factory ones tend to bend under heavy use. I would say go with the king cobra clutch from Ford Motorsport. Im using it and it is a nice and soft shift. Others might give you a hard shift.
