no reverse lights
okay for starters, my reverse lights dont work...there is no wire harness to hook up to the transmission..ive been down there plenty of times and havnt seen it...also there is no speedometer cable...and i dont know where that would hook up too...i know it hooks up to the speed sensor on the tranny but then where does it lead to? the computer?there are no hanging wires around the transmission or under the car so i have no idea where to start?anyone have some info or advice?i want my speedometer to work bad...haha it sucks.

its just a cable that runs from the pickup on the tranny up past the firewall in the engine bay and into the back of you speedometer needle. Thats it. Its a really simple set up. As far as the backup lights....sounds like you need a donor car to rip one out of to me. Or maybe you can find one from a resto. company or something. I dont even think they make those, but your best bet is a donor car.

^+1 on the speedo cable those are common to break, also for reverse lights, have you pulled the lenses and checked the bulbs, fuses, tested the harness for voltage? Good Luck, hey if the reverse lights dont work... o well u hardly use them.

if it's a swap, pull up the carpet and see if they guy hooked up the trans harness. it should be going through the trans hump with a rubber grommet, along your seat mounting hump and to the wiring near your drivers side kick panel.

i dont know if it was a swap but i sure do know that there is no harness for the back up lights.its a 95 but he put 96 tail lights...ive pulled my cluster out and saw no where for the speedo cable to go...does it go on that thing right between the two harnesses?

maybe if i buy the cable it will make sense where it goes? i dunno but ill take pictures of the back lights cuz there is a whole bunch of wires on a harness that goes in the trunk that is not hooked up to anything.
