I just put a 'Flaming River' manual rack kit on my GT.
Kit is very nice very complete, good instructions too...
If you are using skinny's on the front, there will be no problems. If you are using hugeX17's or something, parking and even driveing will be a b-itch...........
I wiegthed everything that came off the car and found that the manual rack was about 25# lighter than the power stuff........

i drove a 5.0 i worked on at the shop with a manual rack and absolutely loved the way it felt. had 16's all the way around and i had to park it all over the parking lot drive it into the bays and drive it on the road felt great easy to steer unless you are a *****. i have also driven my car with the power rack and no power to it and i had no trouble actually had fun with it

i prefer electric steering. manual stuff is stoneage. but its good for drag racing. and like everyone has said so far, they're not that hard to steer, but you have to give a little more effort at low speeds.
