Default clutch

i just bought a 89 fox body. beutiful red paint job clear headlights no dents dings scratch's on the interior nothing. i bought it for $4000 cash. has borla mufflers no cats and headers. it needs a new clutch though it's basically still stock a normal clutch would be fine. no stage 3 or anything, yet. i used to have a 92 subaru svx. was clean black leather suade sunroof was a cruiser. and im still trying to get used to the rwd from the awd cuz i would cut turns all day in my svx in the rain no problem now i start in second i still get it sideways. but any information on the car would be awesome. im still learning it going from japanese car to a mustang is so different. thanks matt

dude... here's the deal with goin sideways in second. when youre in a higher gear, but not high enough to really kill the motor, all you're doing is upping the wheel speed... It's easier for me to start doing donuts if I start out in second than it is if I start out in first. The way I do it with starting out in first is to get movin a bit and then dump the clutch in second and cut the wheel. start out normal and pussyfoot it...

A King Cobra clutch I hear is pretty good for the price. Also, dont forget to get your flywheel turned. Costs around 20$ here.

A spec stage 1 is a really good clutch. Were running one on a a mildly built motor and dont have any slippage.

i went and did a donut today in the parking lot showing off in front of the other cart pusher. one had a ford probe one has a 93 Z28 and the other has a 2005 nissan titan on 24's with 5 tv's, again i say cart pushers.i went to do slung it a full 360 and it stalled. i tryed the other day and dumped the clutch to see if i could power break and it stall and i wasn't even holding the clutch and all i smelled was clutch i was like damn it! and it's kinda embarassing. we're replacing the clutch in my brother XT6 saturday if wwe have time we're gonna jack mine up pull the tranny out and see if it looks ok. but again if we have time. thanks for ya'lls help let me know anything else i need to know about it not just the clutch but everything on the car as well. matt
