took it right out of my motuh perecto! this guy knows what hes talking about
ORIGINAL: aode06
you are supposed to add flush to the system, have the system evacuated and then vacummed for 15 minutes to get all the old stuff out.
then as you recharged, it would of sucked all that freon in FAST, this is a common issue for 134 a conversions, also an evap coil in the dash may be bad 2? 134a cools VERY COLD if you do it right, especially the synthetic version

My neighbor had the same problem after he swaped out his compressor and it ended being he put too much PAG oil. have you put guages on it? if your getting the right pressure and its still not cold enough it could be too much oil. also make sure you put a vacuum on it for at least an hour when ever you swap out any a/c components.

do this: start your car, turn the a/c on max and the blower on the highest setting... let it run for a few minutes. put your hand on the dryer (round can looking thing on passenger side firewall) if it only feels cool then you got a problem in the system, if its freezing cold and starting for form water droplets all over like an ice cold can of coke, then you have a problem with the blend doors and vents in dash.

RE: AC Not Blowing Right
it could also be the condensor stopped up with bugs not allowing the heat to dissipate properly. also converting from r-12 to r134a the temp/pressure relationship is somewhat different which could increase the heat exchange efficiency.to fix might try a new, larger condensor or a secondary cooling fan.try spraying the condensor out, after car has cooled, with a waterhose,to flush the bugs out of the fins in the condensor. wrap the accumulator/dryer with duct insulation the 1/8" thick stuff is what i used on my ranger this helps the cooling a little.
