I have the MAC CAI, it fit perfect with stock motor mounts, and my after market motor mounts, and actually after I got myself a PRO-M MAF I had to cut an inch+ off the CAI

the SD is a one piece tube, the mass air is a 2 piece tube so the mass air sensor can fit into the system. They did send the right part the numbers all match up. Thanks for the reply's 50mikey.

Thanks I just re-painted it today, figured if I'm stuck with it, I'll make it as nice as I can and good point....I wouldn't gain from a different tube.

The homemade one looks good, nice job, and the motor mounts should locate the motor in the same place for trannsmission clearance and driveshaft location, new mounts can't move the motor 2" in any direction? I believe the kit you got was perhaps for a differents vehicle or could have been made wrong. My MAC cai fit well but i had to take time to tweak it all so that it looked just right.
Send it back and get a new one and confirm that you have the right part #, etc. Good Luck
