Default mac cai....warning

Just to give you all a heads up so you don't share the experience I just did. I finally got my MAC cai yesterday, after much effort there is no way it will fit, it comes up about 2" too short. I called the company directly and the first question he asked was if I had ever changed my motor mounts? I had, many years ago, he said the kit won't work with "different" motor mounts. I have the motor mounts that some of the police 5.0's in Canada had when they were still in service. Sucks.....just letting you guys know, maybe this will save some frustration for others.[&o]

MAC makes a great product, I assume the aftermarket motor mounts change the position of the motor????? All I know is it doesn't fit and the guy on the MAC service line told me it won't work with aftermarket motor mounts. I'll just keep my homemade one, it does the same thing as the mac I guess, just doesn't look quit as nice.

MAC changed the speed density kit, you no longer need the adapter piece. It's one continuous piece now.

did you have stock motor mounts though?
