What Stall Converter ? Help
While my tranny is out, what stall converter should i get everyone, look at my sig i dont know stock specs or anything AND IM TRYING TO MAKE THIS CAR MOVE
90 GT automatic
4.10 Gears , 351 DO0E HEADS (RACE),1.6 Rollers,B&M shift kit,Mac underdrive Pullies,Flowmaster 40's dual exhaust no converters, 19* Timed, Cold Air ,Mac Shortie headers,ported intakes,TUNE. STOCK CAM
this is a street car only

check this site www.converter.com ..........or tci...ati has converters for aod ..or try level10 transmissions they probably have a site

Do you plan on getting heads, cam, etc.?
You should have your converter built specifically for your car so you can actually stall to the advertised stall. If you get a regular off the shelf 2800 stall you might only be able to stall it 2400, etc. get what Im sayin?
Or if you want one built for your combination right now call up PA or Lentech or someone like that and have them built you a converter.

on a complete stock 5.0 2000-2400 is ok... with astrock gears...a 2000 will be good with 4.10 on a stock cam...u wanna get a stall to start at 500 rpms above where ya cam starts makin power...as a rule of thumb..

I just paid 520 for a custom 3000 rpm stall converter, call Edge Racing Converters and Andre will set you up.

I'm hoping to get a hell of a difference out of mine lol. I hope that I don't break anything when I'm launching around 3000 rpms, if so oh well, it'll be time to upgrade driveline parts!
