Default IM STROKING IT!!!!

Thats right. Sometime in the next 6 months I am going to put in a 331 stroker motor. I have narrowed it down to a Keith Craft 331 shortblock (they are within 3 hours of me, big + ) custom ground comp cam (probably in the .53x lift and 28x duration range) as well as my current 575 BG carb (Barry Grant says the 575 will work on a 331 with a street cam.) my Edelbrock RPM intake, and edelbrock performer aluminum heads. I will again put on shorty headers, o/r X-pipe, pullies, etc.

This is not the optimum AFR, LT, .600 lift combo, but its a streetable setup imho and not bad for the $$.

THE QUESTION: WHAT KIND OF RWHP CAN I EXPECT? (TKO500 5-speed and 4.10's)

Thats a pretty big carb for a 331. why so big? a 600-650 would be plenty for that.

Yeah, I wanted to go back to the F-bods, my old one was awesome. But I decided since I already have this car built from the ground up I should just replace my H/C/I 5.0 with something that had a little power. This 302 just isnt cutting it with its 98 mph traps and the like. The 331 should own!

I agree. A friend of mine has a 383 stroker in his 90 Trans-Am, AFR heads, custom cam, edelbrock RPM II intake, and a holley 650. Made 436 horsepower on the engine dyno, and runs 12.17's
