Can you pass inspection with the black headlight/taillight covers or do you have to take them off and put them back on after you pass?

I got the lens covers from mustangsunlimited.com and yes they are illegal and I have to take em off fo inpections.

Thats why I went with the covers because the come on and off easy. As where smoked ones or tinted ones I would have to replace the light assembly.
