if u can, snap a picture. BUT if its the same clips that are on the fuil filter i know what yours talking about. no i didant manage to break any of mine but i got some with my new filter so i used em anywyas.

There is three clips that look like a "C", which two belong to the fuel filter, and one on the pump. The other one on the pump is more like a collar, all simple, but I did end up braking one of the C's. I just nabbed one when I went to the Junkyard and nabbed a tank of a 2.3 notch.

very simple swap. about an hour
run the gas to almost empty, do the filter as well unless it'been done recently.
you can use a 2x4 across the tank and a jack under it and it's much easier.
a second pair of hands definitely is a bonus, and pull the filler nek off first, b4 you lower it

dude i just did my fuel pump, 255lhr walbro installed myself, 99$ +cost of 3 beers and some spilled gas that was it.
Sorry...had to add that in there...
