Default Cheap crate motors and trannies.

Where can I find really cheap crate motors for my 89gt, horsepower doesn't matter, even stock WELL rebuilt motors are fine. I don't plan on buying one right now but just so I can start planning for the future. Also a good place to buy good automatic trannies, and ones that will hold some power. Thanks for the help.

A place called T&L engines outside of Charlotte, NC. They build motors for small NASCAR Cup, Busch, Truck, ARCA teams. They have a complete 347 for $2500-3,000. Im thinking of getting a 427 stroker with 550HP for $5000. Comes with everything but the headers, water pump, and distributor. They are cheap. Some places you can only get a shortblock for the price they want a whole crate motor! You can find them on ebay as they sell alot of engines there. 100% POSITIVE Feedback the last time I checked and had sold over 1,000 products.

Are these the guys?

If so, I like what they have. Now I'm thinking about the 400+ HP engine for around $3,700. Looks like a steal.

Thats them! I think most of them come with DART heads. Thing is you will have to pay a little extra for the forged stuff. But if you go without the juice.........Should be pretty Awesome

They will ship it to you! They will also dyno it and send along the graph. If you pick it up, you can watch them dyno it for you. All then engines come with a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty and run off pump gas. Your HP numbers will increase i imagine if you run a mixture of race fuel/pump gas. Seems like one heck of a deal. I would probably swap out the DART's for a set of AFR 185's. Ive got a set currently and since their so expensive, might as well use them on a nice crate motor!

MM&FF Magazine just built a budget stroker and used.........you guessed it, T&L Engines. The products they sell are quality. You dont have to settle for the base model engine. Im sure for $5,000 you couldve had them build you the same 347 with a Dart Block and you wouldve got heads to go with it.
