Default HELP NEEDED!!!

just found out my car was originally a a 4 banger which is probably why all the mounts and exhause is new, but i'm not sure if i have a aod or aode or what it is the # on the side of case is hard to read and what i think it is , is not coming up on the google or ford search if anyone can help me out i would appreciate it

i dont think an AODE would fit into a fox

if it has OD it's more than likely just an AOD

well thanks. wasnt sure because i think 92 0r 93 foxes came with a diff auto then 87-91...not to sure this is my first auto..on the bottom the of trans pan when i looked at it it said automatic overdrive then underneath that in big letters it said METRIC which really thru me off

it's an aod, they look the same, fit the same, but the "e" is for electronic
no one would swap out the puter to do an aode
aode was on '94 up til they switched again

ford has something where you can enter the vin and it will tell you how it came from the factory just little options though like seat belts, motor, trans and alot more can't remember how to get there but i did post a link to the site awhile back

my whole problem is the car was originaly a 2.3 and the # on the side of the trans is not coming up anywhere...but thank u for the link..it's good to know
