C.E.L. CAN'T READ CODES = COMPUTER JUNK?
the other night my check engine light flashed on me...then it stayed on so i tried to get the codes off the computer, and nothing...so i went to a dealership, and they tried with no success...
the dealer said they have came across this, and said if you have the cel on for a long time that it can cook the computer.?????
my cel hasn't been on for a long time, but in the past it has....
anyways i put my a9p computer in and it's fine...no cel's and the car seems to run alittle better< probablt b.s'n myself on that one..
last question who can i send my computer to?

does your car still run without any problems? your computer may not necessarily be bad, you could just have a wire broken somewhere between the connector and the computer.
i think even a open in the check engine light circuit will cause the light to come on.

any bad ground or anything will cause lights to flash
you may have to take out some stuff and follow the wires
good job for a weekend and while your at it, you can organize/tape them because more than likely.. it will be somewhat of a mess

What did you convert from and to?
How many miles do you have using the A9P?
There will be a learning period for the computer, so give it a good 50 miles of normal driving in order to fully adjust.

EDIT-
The dealership is handing you a big bucket of poo.
Either they have no skills or they have no integrity.
Maybe you should find a new shop?
There are good dealerships and bad dealerships out there.

well my car is an 88...speed density.....conversion means to mass air..
i was actually looking for a few people that already new my situation....
miles???i drive 50 miles a day to work and back so i think the a9p learned it's self.
sorry for my negligence

You haven't really offered enough details for people to offer advice.
