does anyone here with an '86 or '85 mustang have any 5.0 or mustang badges from the factory on their car? my car has GT on the quarter panel in the molding and thats it. i know my cars been repainted and im wondering if theres a reason my car has NO badging ANYWHERE.

haha i kinda thought the same thing.... i really wanted my exhaust guy to put dumps on it and hang a fake single tailpipe then it would look just like a 4 banger but sound like a beast. but he pulled the whole " dumps wont pass inspection" bull****

really? In CA you can have dumps.... well at least to my knowelege, because I got them.

I've noticed that the 1982-1986 foxbody's say different things. Some say 5.0, some of them say GT 5.0, and others just say GT.

that is BULL****... stupid exhaust guy prolly didnt know what the **** he was talking about. he didnt know what i meant by dumps, so i said turn downs, he gave me a puzzled look and i said pipes that dump the exhaust before the axle! then he said Oh those wont pass ispection... it sucks cus that would ahve saved me $100 on exhaust. as soon as i can find a friend to inspect my car im going with long tubes, a catless H, and dumps...

i got busted for my catless hpipe and my dumps when i went for inspection [:@] however i found someone to pass it without the cats

thats EXACTLY what im looking for..... i know some people but it is technically my dads car and he doesnt want to risk it

ok factory '85-'86 GTs had 5.0 emblems on the fenders, GT stencilied on the front egde of the hood(or white if it was a black car like mine) had GT moldings infront og the rear wheels and a Mustang GT decal over the drivers side taillight, oh and a Ford Oval over
pass-side tailight and on the front bumper

thanks man! i have no 5.0 emblems[:'(], no mustang gt decal, and no hood stripe. im hopefully getting the hood stripe painted on monday tho cus some body shop owner owes my dad 100 bucks and hes got some leftover flat black paint from a ducati motorcycle.
