There's always one person that says "he let off" or "he wasn't trying" or blah blah blah.

Jesus christ. Just believe the guy and agree with him.

There are SO many GTO kill stories in the S/S section.

idk, ive heard of those new GTOs busting low 13s stock, just like the Corvettes/F-bodys have been known to do. But like always, you can go to the track and watch C5 corvettes run 14 flats all night b/c the driver sucks.

well I said they were neck and neck from what I could see. It was from a roll and I was like 7 carlengths behind them so I didnt have the best vantage point, im just giving 5.0s a thumbs up for that performance

Is it me, or do the new GTOs sound funny. They sound like the motor is breathing through congested pipes. Then on decel, the muffled backfiring makes it sound like something is loose inside the exhaust. Strange.

I have always thought the same about mustangs with flows lol I thought they sounded like they were gagging or something. But i think the Gto's sound pretty good and i'm used to the muffled back fire sound which is just the exhaust resonating. Now if it is going BANG BANG POP POP then he might need plugs lol but on a Gm (or at least the ones i've been around) with aftermarket exhaust they all seem to sound this way also they seem to have a light pop too.
