Do you have any friends with a timing light, etc.? If not, go to autozone and you can get one for like $30 bucks. Its definetly a good investment.

I've avoided it so far... i just read an article on it in car & driver mag... it seems to depend on which state youre living in if you have to deal with that crap... minnesota being one of the biggies.... stands to reason, they have a lot of corn up there...

Some words of advice. Your motor is supposed to be specified for use with E-85 you are not supposed to run that in any motor not designed to run it.

I dont know if it's true or not, but i was told that that stuff will *** with gaskets seals an stuff in cars like mine... but, i got the distict impression from the article i read, that some states people wont have an option.... if so, that really suks... [:-]

^^i noticed a few pumps in pa/nj that have a sticker on them that says something like "contains up to 10 % ethanol". so i guess that took care of my biggest worry...which was not knowing if i used it or not. i will not use that crap in my stang

I havent seen those stickers yet but I must say.... I have never looked for them. I guess I should start checking!

Well, I was running 91, as my timing is set at 14 degrees. Then two weeks ago, I tried some 89 just for the hell of it, and the car runs the same or better, with no pinging. I may try 87 one day.

I felt no difference between 87-89 but my timing is at 14* so I decided to just stick with 89. Better safe than sorry!

Ive just been running 91 in it since I got it, Timing is at 13*, maybe I should try 89.
