Default O/R H-Pipe

Hey Guys,
I want to get a 2 1/4" O/R H-pipe but can only find 2 1/2". Does anyone know of a place that sells what I'm looking for? If not I'm going to have to have one made and that will cost close to $300, which is alot more then a noncatted mid pipe goes for. I don't want 2 1/2" because it may give me a couple of hp at the top end but it will probably hurt my tq alot, and torque is why I drive a 5.0 mustang.

It wont hurt your torque alot. Go with a 2.5"

I really don't think a 1983 non roller motor needs a 2 1/2" exhaust. Car came stock with 175hp.

and fyi.. if you do have an 83 gt.. you are gonna have to put the double hump cross member to put on the h-pipe... unless you already got it.

2.5" is perfectly fine

exhaust isnt gunna hurt hp.. ur cars pushing over 250 ft-lbs torque

it needs to breathe

Well, Im not sure if companies make a 2 1/4' exhaust so look like you might be having one made.

First off, going w/ an O/R H pipe w/ do more to hurt your tq #'s than a 1/4" difference in diameter. Backpressure is what gives you more torque. I'm not saying don't get the O/R H...I'm just saying the difference in diameter is not worth worrying about.

2nd, IF you have aftermarket exhaust, then your catback is already 2.5"....same if you got headers. If your stock then it will help you more than hurt you.
