Oil pan bolts getting loose

Oil pan bolts getting loose
I put in a fel-pro gasket recently and a couple weeks after its leaking again. I check my bolts and they were all loose! I had torqued them down to 12lbs and it took about half turn to get them all back there. Should i go tighter, use loctite, or what? btw its blue and has a metal core so i suppose i could torque it more since its not cork or neoprene.

The specs on those bolts are:
80-87 9 to 10 ft.-lbs.
88-93 12 to 18 ft.-lbs.
The difference in years I am pretty sure is due to the change from the 4 piece gasket to the one piece gasket with crush limiters (the one that it sounds like you're using).
You can try using a criss-cross type of pattern when bolting it on. Don't just run down one side of the rail and up the other. Check them once you've tightened them all.

you can go 18-20lbs with the metal core gaskets for this application and a MEDIUM strength loctite or similar thread sealant can be used, (blue loctite) dont get the pink or red. And as mentioned before criss cross the patern on the oil pan as you would on a wheel.
