From what i have heard they are just as strong the probs were coming from people using the standard 5.0 pilot bearing causing a bind in the tranny and boom headshot and the tranny was dead. mine is holding up fairly well and i'm not hard on it but i'm not easy on it either. this tranny has been in the car since about 98 also still shifts as tight as brand new.
